Can TD Tools Help Us With Knowledge Transfer?

As the oil and gas industry deals with the "Great Crew Change", which has seen a large number of career oil and gas professionals retire, transferring knowledge and experience has become an increasing topic of conversation.  Many methods will be employed to attempt to capture experience, know how, and lessons learned to build on foundations laid by others in the field.  One of the best proven ways to transfer this valuable knowledge is through mentoring and relationship building.

The transfer of knowledge in a particular technological area happens on many levels.  The first level is an understanding that the technology exists and how it can be employed.  This type of knowledge can be gained in a relatively short period of time through presentations that can be in person or virtual as well as conferences and exhibitions.  The introduction of a new technology, even at a basic level, is like adding a new tool to the tool box.  TD Tools regularly provides informational presentations on many topics to educate oil and gas professionals on the different applications for sand jetting and the solutions sand jetting can provide.

Customer Training at Customer's Facility

Providing support through the implementation of the technology builds relationships that further knowledge and understanding.  This support might include training and certification to operate and service different TD Tools product lines.  Training can be performed at TD Tools facility, the customers facility, or third party locations.  Repetition through training builds confidence in new technologies like those offered by TD Tools and also helps the customer understand the best applications.

Sand Jet Perforator Post Job

Support for our sand jetting tools continues through the planning stages and execution of jobs. Our team helps customers build jetting programs to insure smooth operation on the well location.  Through the planning process, customers become familiar with the requirements and learn to write procedures for the jobs independently.  We often also provide technical support on the well location for the first jobs.  This mentoring process builds confident, experienced, well equipped technicians and engineers who can successfully employ the technologies.
